|Ms Lambert||Mrs Marchant|
Class 2 is one of the two Reception classes and is part of Early Years.
Ms Lambert is the class teacher and Mrs Marchant is the cover supervisor. That means whenever Ms Lambert is out of the class for any reason, Mrs Marchant usually takes over.
The school day starts at 8:50am. Please arrive promptly because class doors are locked at 8:53am. The school day finishes at 3:15pm. Please let us know if you have arranged for someone different to collect your child.
Our regular weekly events are:
- PE on Fridays (please ensure your child wears the necessary kit to school). Please name everything.
Welly Wednesday, is on a Wednesday! Please ensure that your child comes to school suitably dressed. They will need a pair of wellies, a long sleeved top and trousers. Shoes will need to be worn when back in class.
Please send your child in clothes suitable for the weather;
In the warmer months, a sunhat and sun-cream will be needed.
In the cooler months, a woollen hat, gloves and a warm coat.
For both times of the year waterproofs will be needed. Please ensure that your child has a waterproof coat and ideally waterproof trousers.
- Homework is given to the children to take home and we would like you to support them learn their letter sounds and any tricky words that might be sent home to read.
We ask you to read at home regularly with your child (please aim to do that every day). Initially, a bedtime book, for you to share and read together will go home. Later, you child will bring home a reading book which they will be able to ‘read’ using their letter sounds. When your child has read three times in a week they will receive five Dojos – please remember to sign the yellow reading book!
Children will earn ClassDojo points and House Points through the year for doing well and some of those are converted into high street shopping vouchers for them at the end of the school year.
We aim to communicate with you regularly via the ClassDojo phone app. Please download that and use your unique code (given by the teacher) to link to your child’s class.
